Our Love
The
sun does not rule the sky always,
He
must submit to the moon, and
Run
to the recesses of his cave so the dark
Shroud
of night can blanket the earth.
5 The
illuminating day doesn’t last forever, nor
Does
the grim night.
The
multi-coloured flowers of the field,
And
the trees which line the city streets
Both
wither, fade, die, transform into a dry corpse.
10 Even
man, who has dominion over the earth
Grows
old and wilts like the plants,
Becoming
ultimately a corpse, a faint memory
In
the hearts of loved ones.
Everything
exists for only a season,
15 Life,
beauty, health, thunder storms, drought,
However,
as I lie next to you
My
sweet goddess,
My
beloved, the keeper of my heart’s purest love,
I
ask myself,
20 Will
our love like the flower wilt?
Will
the flame of our passion go out
As
the wind of time passes?
Will
our love die?
I
dread the day when I
25 Must
part ways with the beauty next to me.
